Abuse Policy

This Abuse Policy explains how to report violations on the SebekVPS network and how we respond to spam, phishing, attacks and other prohibited activity defined in our Terms of Service.

1. Abuse contact

Please send abuse reports to:

Include in your report: IP address / hostname, date and time (UTC), logs or message headers, description of the violation and requested action. We review anonymous reports if they contain sufficient technical evidence.

2. What to report

  • Spam and unsolicited bulk messages (email, SMS)
  • Phishing, fraud, fake shops and tech support scams
  • DDoS/DoS attacks, brute force, port scanning
  • Malware, botnets, open relay, unauthorized proxy/VPN
  • Copyright infringement (provide proof of authority)
  • CSAM and other strictly illegal content

3. Response times

We prioritize reports involving active attacks, ongoing phishing and live spam. Target first-response times:

  • Critical (active attack, phishing): within 4 hours
  • High (spam, malware): within 24 hours
  • Standard: within 48 business hours

In urgent cases we may suspend the service immediately without prior notice to the customer.

4. Customer obligations

A customer subject to an abuse report must:

  • respond within 24 hours of notification
  • promptly remove the cause of the violation
  • provide explanations and logs upon request
  • maintain a valid contact email and — when hosting mail — a working abuse@ address for their domain

Failure to cooperate authorizes us to suspend or terminate the service under the Terms of Service (§ 8.5).

5. Actions and sanctions

Depending on the severity of the violation we may:

  • notify the customer and require remediation
  • block ports (including SMTP 25/465/587), rate-limit or null-route traffic
  • suspend the server pending investigation
  • permanently terminate the account and report to law enforcement

We do not replace an IP address due to poor reputation (blacklisting) — delisting and reputation recovery are the customer's responsibility (Terms § 3.11).

6. Forwarding reports

If a report concerns a SebekVPS customer, we will forward it to the contact address associated with the service. If you are a customer and receive an abuse report regarding your server, treat it as priority — ignoring it may result in service suspension.

7. Law enforcement cooperation

We cooperate with law enforcement and network operators on valid legal requests. CSAM material is blocked immediately and reported without prior notice to the customer.
